The company that I work for has requested that each department come up with ways to save money.  The tough economy is having an effect on our bottom line and reducing costs is the only way the company can avoid laying off staff.  My recommendation was to replace our big Culligan drinking water service with the installation of a drinking fountain.  I showed them the invoices from our current water service contract and spelled out the savings that we would receive by switching.  The owners agreed with my idea and we are having a new fountain installed early next week. It is quite easy to sell the high quality water products offered by my company.  As a salesman, I meet with many businesses that want to purchase a drinking fountain to replace the expensive water services that they currently have.  I usually remind them of the savings that comes with automatic cold water service through pipes rather than recycling bottles.  The customers also like the fact that they no longer have to lift those heavy water containers into place each week with their old water service.  I sell about 500 units each week and I am only one salesman of about twenty. I work for a company that sells high quality fountains.  My job order for today was to install one drinking fountain on the fifth floor of a high rise building.  I found the proper location and started to install the fountain when I was approached by five men in suits.  They asked how many I was installing in the building and I told them that this was the only one.  They asked for my business card and told me that they would be contacting the office immediately.   They were so impressed with the unit that I installed that now they want one on each floor.
